Why subTotem

I watched brilliant musicians get paid almost nothing.

For eleven years I filmed grassroots gigs and made music videos for independent artists. I kept seeing the same thing: streaming paid them next to nothing, and they spent a fortune on tools just to get their music heard.

So I built subTotem to pay them fairly. Every play pays the artist 1p, from the people who listen. The tools come with it, free to start. And what the platform makes goes back into the music.
