The price shown is the total you pay. On every tier, subTotem takes a flat 5% on sales, plus the card processing fee, and the rest goes to you, into your own Stripe account. Release music as well? Do I need to release music?

No. This account is for producers and beatmakers who don't release music as an artist. If you do, join as an artist: your artist account has all of this too.

What does it cost to sell beats?

A flat 5% on each sale, plus the card processing fee. That's the whole of it. Selling beats, stem packs and services comes with Encore.

Who gets the money?

You do, straight into your own Stripe account. subTotem keeps its 5% and nothing else.

How do splits pay me?

An artist adds you to a track's split and you agree to it. Then you're paid your share of each 1p the track earns per play. Splits are free on every tier.

What if I start releasing music?

Upgrade to Artist on the same account. You go through the artist set-up and choose your artist name, and you keep your page, your followers and everything on it.

Can I play gigs or stream my own tracks?

Not on a producer account for now: there are no gigs or gig line-ups, and no tracks in the streaming catalogue. For those, join as an artist.

What's the founding rate?

Go Encore on the yearly plan before listening opens and it's £100 a year instead of £150, for as long as you keep your subscription without a break.
